Our Approach
We positively encourage clients to anticipate and thus avoid disputes
rather than to litigate them.
To achieve this:

We always try to draft documents and agreements in plain
English, ie as clearly and concisely as possible.

Encourage existing clients to take advice as soon as, and
preferably before a dispute arises. Prevention is better than
cure and whilst reserving the right to do so, we very rarely
charge new or existing clients for urgent telephone advice. If in
doubt ask!

If a dispute cannot be avoided we will look to practical,
not necessarily legal solutions first.

|
Because litigation is expensive, slow and will distract you
from getting on with your life and/or business we will always
explore the possibility of mediation, arbitration or other
forms of alternative dispute resolution.

If litigation is unavoidable we will give you at the outset
[and keep giving you] an honest assessment of the prospects
of success, will prepare your case thoroughly and fight it
vigorously.
